422 · This legal entity has no open draft, the draft is not editable, or one of the completeness rules above is not met. The `detail` of the error names which one.

What must be filled in first

For a first-time draft or an amendment, every one of these has to hold before the draft is accepted. A MagicDoor information request skips the completeness checks and only has its checklist counts verified.

On the business

  • legalName, summary and mccCode are set, and mccCode is exactly four digits
  • legalEntityType is set
  • ein is a valid federal tax identifier, or a valid Social Security number
  • businessAddress is a valid US address, with state and zipCode present
  • startDate is set

On every principal

  • firstName, lastName, email, phone, ssn, address, dateOfBirth and driverLicense are all set and valid, and the date of birth is in the past
  • type is set, and a beneficial owner's ownership is between 25 and 100

Overall

  • at least one principal exists, and at least one of them is a controlPerson
  • every checklist entry has at least minCount files attached and no more than maxCount, counted per principal for principal entries
