Waive screening
Marks screening as waived for this applicant, recording who waived it and when, so the application can move on without an identity check. Also settles the application fee as skipped. Requires the rental_applications:write permission.
Authorization
AuthorizationstringrequiredBearer token — Send your API token in the Authorization header as Bearer <token>. Requests without a valid token are rejected with 401 Unauthorized.
Path parameters
applicationIdstringrequiredThe rental application to work with. A Snowflake id, sent as a decimal string.
example: 1830472847398404096
Response
200 · Screening was waived. The response has no body.
401 · The access token is missing, expired, or not valid.
403 · The caller is authenticated but does not hold the `rental_applications:write` permission.
404 · No rental application with this id exists, or it belongs to another company. Both cases look identical so that ids cannot be probed across companies.
This also settles the application fee
Waiving screening writes a payment record with status skipped and marks the application as paid for workflow purposes, whether or not the applicant ever paid. If you only meant to skip the fee, use Waive the application fee instead.
Waiving is one-way here
There is no endpoint in this reference that un-waives screening. Once waived, screening.canRevalidate also turns false, so identity data can no longer be re-sent to TransUnion.
