Bank feeds

Create an update link token

Asks the feed provider for a token that reopens its widget in update mode, so the property manager can sign in again after the bank has invalidated the connection. Requires the reconciliations:write permission.

Response

200 · An update-mode link token for the provider's widget.

linkTokenstring

The token to pass to the provider's link widget. An opaque provider-issued value.

expirationstring · date-time

When the token stops working, in the company's timezone. Absent when the provider does not supply an expiry.

401 · The access token is missing, expired, or not for this company.

403 · The caller does not hold the `reconciliations:write` permission.

404 · No bank feed connection with this id belongs to the caller's company.

  1. Notice the status

A connection whose status is RequiresReauth stops syncing and refuses manual refreshes.

  2. Get an update token

Call this endpoint. The token reopens the provider's widget against the existing connection rather than creating a new one.

  3. Tell MagicDoor it worked

When the widget finishes, call Complete reauthentication. MagicDoor re-checks with the provider and puts the connection back to Active.
